Breast Cancer Chemotherapy
Chemotherapy is the combination of chemical and drugs in form of a treatment. It may take several cycles or less to complete, depending upon the cancer stage, size of tumor, and physical appearance of the patient. The most common cancer in women today is breast cancer. The women who don’t breast feed their children have a high chance of breast cancer. It is very important for women over 30 to go for a breast examination in order to prevent or to get early treatment for breast cancer. There are several ways for breast cancer examination including a self examination procedure. Self examination is cost free and provides a good opportunity to diagnose breast cancer at an early stage. It also consumes less time, and save women from any use of medicines.

If a women is diagnosed a breast cancer, chemotherapy is the best treatment. Chemotherapy is directly injected in veins or by mouth in form of pills and capsules to women with breast cancer. This drug travels all parts of the body, as the breast cancer cells can grow beyond breast, to check for any cancer cells and kill them at the spot. Breast cancer chemotherapy treatment lasts from fewer months to one year according to the condition. There are two types of conditions in which different kind of chemotherapy given for breast cancer. If the cancer only spread to breast or lymph nodes than chemotherapy may be given after mastectomy. It prevents the reoccurrence of breast cancer cells. Another condition of those women whose cancer I spread to other parts of body beyond the breast and lymph nodes.

If the breast cancer spread to other parts of body than it’s called metastatic. It occurs in very fewer women or it may be the reoccurrence of breast cancer after the chemotherapy treatment. This chemotherapy treatment doesn’t affect daily working of women. This treatment can be scheduled on weekends or evening time of days. Doctors have to do some tests in order to asses the cancer treatment. This assessment procedure will continue until the cancer completely eliminated from the breasts. Adjuvant chemotherapy treatments are very much effective for breast cancer. It is effective for small size tumor until it’s completely eliminated. Breast cancer elimination tests can be conducted by periodic physical examination, routine mammography, and blood tests.

There are some other types of treatment of breast cancer than to chemotherapy. These include femara, lymph node surgery, biological therapies, radiation therapy and hormone therapy. Chemotherapy is considered to be the most effective form of treatment, among all, for breast cancer. Another effective chemotherapy is neo-adjuvant chemotherapy for breast cancer. If the cancer is too big in breast than its better to first let it shrink by chemotherapy and than remove by surgery. The duration of the treatment of breast cancer depends on the time each woman spends in the medical center. Chemotherapy can be provided by mouth in the form of pills and capsules and these can be taken by sitting in the home.
